Part-time attorneys earn leave on a pro-rated basis. If an attorney resigns from State service, s/he is paid up to 160 hours of accrued annual leave. If the attorney retires or is separated from employment on account of death, s/he has all of their annual leave balances paid as a lump sum. Vacation scheduling is the exclusive prerogative of the ODG. Leave must be requested in advance by the employee and is subject to approval by the DG or his or her designee. Such approval shall not be unreasonably withheld. Please contact Jessica Martin, HR & Program Manager, for additional information on attorney use of annual leave.
